ROOSTER is a classic, custom built, 36’ downeast style fishing vessel built by the John Williams company in Maine in 1978 and then completely refurbished in 2009 under the auspices of the International Yacht Restoration School headquartered in Newport, RI. She is solid fiberglass and powered by a brand new Cummins 315 hp diesel engine which can push the boat at speeds approaching 20 knots.
In addition to Radar, GPS, fish finder, VHF and other standard USGH safety equipment, ROOSTER carries an 8 man Solace certified life raft and an EPIRB for maximum protection for the Captain, Crew and guests. She is the only boat to carry these added safety features.
She is Coast Guard documented for 6 pack charters as well as licensed for commercial fishing in Rhode Island waters. She is also licensed for tuna and shark fishing on the offshore grounds.
ROOSTER is the largest vessel in the fleet, features a spacious cockpit for large parties and has an enclosed head.
