Captain Eric has been fishing the water in and around Block Island since he was a small child. He comes from a long line of boat builders, yachtsmen and fisherman. His grandfather was one of the first yacht builders on the Connecticut River having arrived from Sweden in 1918.
The Captain has been a 100 ton Master Coast Guard licensee with a towing endorsement for almost 10 years. He graduated from the International Yacht Restoration School for Marine Systems in Newport, RI in 2008. In 2010 he also became a Commercial fisherman to sell his catch both to local restaurants and in Point Judith. Commercial fishing has added to his expertise and knowledge as to where the fish are and what they are biting on.
The Captain's good nature and fishing skills have led to numerous public appearances on TV Shows such as On The Water. He has been quoted in The Salt Water Sportsman and The Fisherman Magazine.
